*Clarification for service dates/close down for camps: Claims for day camps that have been paid for by parents may be reimbursed if the service date occurs through September 1, 2024. The claim is only reimbursable for day camps during this time period if the parent has paid up front and prior to July 1, 2024.
Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:
1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.
2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
Please check with each Service Provider ahead of a purchasing decision to ensure you are aware of their policy regarding payment at time of service or invoicing.

All language learning is a beneficial endeavor, and to that end Signing With Miss Steph provides both English literacy tutoring using the Orton-Gillingham approach and American Sign Language instruction for all ages. Every aspect of the Orton-Gillingham approach assists students in becoming competent readers, writers, and independent learners. These basic skills will then translate into learning potential across all topics for the remainder of the students' lives. This flexible, language-based, multisensory, structured, sequential approach to helping struggling readers and writers learn is rooted in the Science of Reading. It is flexible and individualized because of its diagnostic and prescriptive nature - meeting students where they are and moving them forward as quickly as possible but as slowly as necessary. Learning a new language has may benefits, no matter what your age! From enhancing memory skills to improving multitasking abilities, to increasing the understanding of your own native language, the results of language-learning are far-reaching. More tangible rewards of learning American Sign Language include the ability to interact with ASL users directly as well as potential career benefits stemming from the ability to understand a different language and culture, and the capability to work directly with customers and/or coworkers who use ASL. Moreover, as the third most used language in the United States, ASL users are likely to find a variety of opportunities to use their acquired skills in social, professional, educational, or other situations throughout their lives.
