We provide weekly private (one-on-one) music lessons on a variety of instruments plus voice. The lessons are generally 30 minutes, unless a student is ready for or requests a 60 minute lesson. The lessons take place during two 18-week semesters and a 6-week summer session, and are offered on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, from mid-afternoon to early evening, depending on instructor's schedule. Students may enroll at any time of the year, and financial aid for tuition is available for income-eligible students. The lessons are provided at our rented home space, in a former (c. 1917) music conservatory building, by experienced teaching artists/musicians. Enrolled students are encouraged to participate in the 4 music recitals scheduled during the school year and summer. Most lessons are in-person; a few instructors offer online lessons as well. We also offer a youth drum corps that meets weekly on Mondays, 4:50 - 5:30 pm
Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:
1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.
2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
Please check with each Service Provider ahead of a purchasing decision to ensure you are aware of their policy regarding payment at time of service or invoicing.
