Sylvan Learning of Westlake serves a designated area mostly in western Cuyahoga county. We focus on core programs - Reading, Math, and Writing Skills - to fill in any skill gaps; remove any obstacles to learning and restore or unleash curiosity in the K-12 students we serve. We design personalized learning plans for each student following a detailed assessment. Consistent with our core programs, we provide Homework Support to assist students in independently applying newly learned skills while meeting a practical need to keep up with school work. Students come for 2 to 6 one hour sessions each week. Sessions are offered from 3:30pm to 7:30pm weekdays and from 9:30am to 1:30am Saturdays. Summer hours add weekday morning tutoring hours of 9:30am to 12:30pm. Students are tutored in small groups using our proprietary Sylvan curriculum. Services are offered in person at our Westlake location. Finally, we work with schools to provide on-site tutoring services. We deliver the same curriculum no matter where/how the sessions take place.
Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:
1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.
2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
Please check with each Service Provider ahead of a purchasing decision to ensure you are aware of their policy regarding payment at time of service or invoicing.
