Educational Value

Science Adventure Camps (after school) take place at local schools that request our services. Students at these schools can sign up for the camp which are 5-6 weeks long - once a week. We offer 6 week long themed camps in June & July (Dinosaur Adventure, Wacky Science, Space Exploration, Creature Feature, C.S.I. and S.T.E.A.M) Super Science Saturdays are held once a month (different theme each month) at our facility from 10:30 am-3:30 pm. These are hands on activities and take home projects. Activities are for students K-7th grade. Our homeschool classes are held Mondays-Thursdays from 9:30am-3:30pm. for levels K-12th grade (2 semesters for a total of 28 weeks) We schedule Group Field Trips throughout the year Tuesdays-Saturdays for schools, youth groups, homeschooled groups, adult Special Needs facilities. We offer Basic Group Tours with the option to add-on specific hands-on activities. We also offer 3 themed "Field Trips to Go" (Fantastic Fossils, Creature Feature and Wacky Science) for customers that are unable to travel to our facility. At Akron Fossils & Science Center, visitors can become researchers, experimenters and even educators. Our exhibits and programs let our guests experience science first-hand and encourage understanding and deep, critical thought. We also have a 2-acre play park that is included in our admission.

Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:

1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.

2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
