The Good and the Beautiful offers affordable resources of the highest quality, making homeschooling economical and accessible. Lessons are open-and-go! Language Arts courses are available for grades Preschool to High School; the courses combine multiple subjects, such as reading, phonics. writing, spelling, literature, grammar & punctuation, geography, and art. The Reading Booster resources teach phonics and reading in a powerful, fun, and sequential way creating strong and enthusiastic readers. Math courses, from Kindergarten to Math 6, each include 120 engaging lessons incorporating hands-on learning, fun activities and games. There is a focus on building a foundation of strong number sense and mathematical thinking. Math Course Sets, K-3 include a box of manipulatives and Math 4 and above includes unique videos that teach all concepts simply and thoroughly. With the exception of Math 6, each Math Course Set is priced at under $50. Science units are done family style, so you only need one course book for your family! units include Motion and Simple Machines, Paleontology, Safety, Marine Biology, and more! Student Journals are available for grades 3–6 and 7–8. Each student needs their own copy of the Student Journal which includes interactive activities, games, and worksheets the child will complete during the lessons. The parent-led lessons in the Course Book will direct the student regarding when to complete the Student Journal activities. The grades 7–8 journal also includes a student-directed Lesson Extension for each lesson. These allow your older students to dive deeper into the lesson concepts. Read-Aloud Book Packs are a great way to enhance these lessons and are available for nearly all subjects. Handwriting workbooks include images, artwork, poetry, Bible verses, and quotes that support high character, faith, nature, and creativity in addition to proper letter formation. Each book integrates spelling and grammar practice and contains 100 pages, which is 3–4 sheets per week for a typical school year. These are highly suggested to accompany the Language Arts courses. History is in the process of a revision. The current courses (Years 1–4) cover ancient history through modern history, but each course stops in different places and time periods to explore in depth. Our testing has shown that it is effective for children to see the whole sweep of history and how it fits together each year. In addition, children enjoy this approach as they can become disengaged when a year-long course focuses on the same time period, especially when learning ancient history. Electives make homeschooling fun! Check out some of our notebooks, including Birdwatching, Creative Writing, and Nature Notebooks, as well as our Drawing and Typing options. The Creative Arts & Crafts book includes twenty-seven fun, creative projects that will keep your children engaged in good things with easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions. Books that align with your child's reading level are an important part of your homeschool. A few customer favorites include the Silver and Gold Tales, Crooked Creek Ranch, Johnny McKee and the Big Flood and Redwood Pioneer. Find something for everyone! Only approved educational items are reimbursable. Please visit this link for full details.
