The Conneaut Arts Center is committed to enhancing the cultural identity of the community by providing a venue and programming for all ages to recognize and experience creative expression and the fundamental value of the arts, culture, and local history. We provide a variety of classes, many of which are youth-focused. A community arts center can be educationally valuable to a student by providing them with exposure to different art forms, opportunities to learn new skills, encouraging creativity, fostering collaboration and teamwork, exposing them to cultural diversity, and enhancing their critical thinking abilities. Students can explore and learn about different art forms, which can broaden their understanding and appreciation of the arts, their community, and themselves. Classes at the Conneaut Arts Center include a variety of dance movement, tap, and ballet courses, instrument lessons (Piano, Guitar, Drums, Vocal, Brass, and Woodwind), and Art in various mediums/styles. Art Camp is a two-week Summer program (Monday - Friday, Weeks of 6/19 and 6/26 from 9am to 3pm) where children in Kindergarten-5th Grade can explore the arts. Children learn to paint with different mediums, create crafts of all sorts, learn dance basics and a short routine, acting techniques and performance opportunities, learn how to play different instruments and rhythms, and more. Art Camp runs for two weeks in June. Each session consists of different crafts and lesson plans so children can participate in both weeks if desired. Santa's Workshop Camp happens every December and includes 3 hours of holiday arts and crafts, dancing, and other activities. This workshop allows children to create, be physically active, and learn to collaborate with others
