Educational Value

Tiger Martial Arts’ Taekwondo program follows the curriculum of the World Taekwondo Federation. This is the same as in the Olympics. Students are required to learn a specific set of skills for each belt rank. Beginners learn the basic kicks, blocks, punches, stances and a specific form (a choreographed set of moves against an imaginary attacker) and five one-step sparring drills, per belt. They will earn stripes on their belt when each requirement is attained, at which point they will be eligible to test for the next belt. This gradient way of learning helps them step-by-step to go up in rank, hopefully making it to Black Belt within a few years. In addition to learning these physical skills, our school also focuses on teaching the five goals of Taekwondo - honesty, respect, humility, self-control, perseverance. We will not tolerate bad attitudes or disrespectful behavior. Tiger Martial Arts focuses a lot on practical self-defense, how to react in specific situations in order to keep oneself safe and out of harm's way. We suggest students attend two to three times a week in order to make good progress and retain what they have learned.

Each Service Provider conducts their business differently and may collect payment for their goods/services in one of two ways:

1. Parent/Guardian pays for goods/services at time of service. This type of purchase can be reimbursed with OH ACE account funds directly to the parent/guardian via claim submission with an attached receipt in the OH ACE app as long as the parent/guardian has connected their bank account to the app.

2. Service Provider issues an invoice to the parent/guardian for goods/services. This invoice can be paid directly to the Service Provider using OH ACE account funds by submitting a claim with the attached invoice in the OH ACE app, as long as the Service Provider has set up their account to receive those funds.
