Cincinnati Shakespeare Company offers classes and day camps throughout the school year and every summer. Students learn from professional actors the basics of building an ensemble, analyzing text, stage combat, voice and movement techniques, improvisation, and more. As the only named author in both Ohio and Common Core ELA Standards, Shakespeare taught by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company uniquely helps supplement English and Language Arts curricula. CSC creates meaningful and interactive arts education experiences that pull these great works of dramatic literature off the page. In doing so, CSC improves students' comprehension of these challenging materials and helps them develop essential social and 21st-Century skills in line with the Battelle for Kids Framework for 21st Century Learning including creativity, collaboration, self-discipline, critical thinking, confidence, tolerance, and empathy.
