Village Creative Dance Studio is a visionary dance organization with a mission to bring joyful movement to individuals of all ages, sizes, and abilities. We firmly believe that dance is for everybody, and through the transformative power of movement, we aim to empower, engage, educate, and inspire our diverse community. Our studio is founded on the principles of inclusivity, creating a warm and supportive environment where all feel welcomed and encouraged to explore the art of dance. We focus on health-full instruction, nurturing each student's journey of self-discovery and expression through caring, positive reinforcement. A trained and experienced instructor will teach developmentally appropriate creative movement instruction. Our instructors pursue ongoing education on developmentally appropriate practice, safe technique, and updated teaching methods. Students will explore creative movement while giving attention to the following areas for evaluation: controlled breath, core-distal, spinal alignment, locomotor and stationary movement (upper-lower body halves, right-left, cross-lateral opposition diagonal). Dance has many benefits beyond the development of gross motor skills. Dance is an outlet for children to express themselves and develop empathy. Dance supports a child’s physical and emotional well-being. Focused intentional movement helps a child focus their attention for a longer period of time. It makes connections between a child’s prior knowledge and new experiences Dance improves a child’s long-term recall and has all senses engaged. Dance is wiring your child’s brain for successful learning. We offer classes in various styles, including creative movement, ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, and more. Our curriculum is designed to balance creativity with technical proficiency, ensuring that students receive comprehensive training while exploring their artistic potential.
