The Cleveland Guardians are dedicated to improving communities by providing resources for youth programming, social equity & education services across Northeast Ohio. Cleveland Guardians Youth Baseball & Softball Camp offers kids a Major League experience, filled with hands-on instruction from top coaches around the area, skill development and general athletic development, with fun group activities throughout the week to promote teamwork and sportsmanship. Some kids will come to camp who have never played ball before, and some will come to camp who may one day play at Progressive Field. Some kids will come to meet a Guardians player and others to become a Guardians player. Regardless, we owe all players the camp experience of a lifetime, and we won't settle for anything less. While it’s true this is a baseball & softball camp, there’s so much that goes into being a ballplayer beyond the diamond. Our camps are built on, and lean into the process of learning. The curriculum is meticulously planned; we introduce broad concepts at the beginning of the week, breaking them down into digestible nuggets for the campers. We spend time each day mindfully reinforcing yesterday’s skill, and then build more on top of it. Players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in drills and activities that are challenging, rewarding and fun. Kids will go through individual drills learning not just baseball skills & general athletic concepts, but also team-building activities. We believe that being a good teammate is as important as anything else on, or off, the field. It’s those characteristics that are cultivated on a field that translate into the rest of someone’s life. Great teachers or coaches can be a game changer in kids’ lives. That's why we carefully select, screen, train and monitor our instructors, then we encourage them to unleash all the passion and creativity they can muster. Each camp day for your child should be a masterpiece. We promise the men and women entrusted with the training of your kids are as good as they come. We believe anxiety-free confidence is a critical foundation for fun and learning success, & we aim to create a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone. Camps typically run Monday-Friday 9-3 with a break for lunch. While we welcome players of every skill & experience level and put a premium on having fun, this is a camp and not a daycare service. Please keep that in mind when deciding to sign your player up. At Guardians Youth Summer Camp, our 6-year-old campers won’t be grouped with our 14-year-old campers. For many reasons, we make it a priority to keep the younger players and older players separated by age. Our promise is to create a world-class Cleveland Guardians experience that will forever own a page in the memory scrapbook of every boy and girl who joins us, we hope to see you there!
